What I Realized About My Cats’ Strange Nighttime Behavior

Every night, right around 2:47 a.m., my cats would begin.

First came the sprinting.

Tiny paws thundered down the hallway like a herd of miniature horses. Then came the crashing sounds, the sudden leaps onto furniture, the dramatic staring into dark corners of empty rooms, and the loud meowing that sounded strangely urgent for absolutely no reason.
