The Hidden Infestation No One Saw Coming
When flashlights illuminated the cramped space, workers found hundreds of creatures packed tightly between the beams and insulation.
Snakes.
Dozens upon dozens of them.
Some were alive. Others appeared trapped and dead for years. Experts later suggested the warm, undisturbed cavity had become the perfect breeding ground after small openings in the roof allowed the reptiles access over time.
The crew immediately stopped work and contacted animal control specialists, who spent hours carefully removing the infestation from the property.
Neighbors watched in horror as containers filled with writhing snakes were carried from the home throughout the afternoon.
