Two Simple Questions
When his sister finally finished, I politely thanked her for sharing her thoughts.
“Are these expectations something every new member of the family follows?”
She looked surprised.
I nodded before asking my second question.
“And if your brother married someone who expected him to do all of those things instead, would you consider that fair?”
No one answered.
