The toddler, identified as Beckham Reed, was playing outside on his family’s property when the accident occurred. According to reports, he was riding an electric toy vehicle when he accidentally disturbed a hidden yellow jacket nest, triggering a sudden and violent swarm.

Within moments, the young boy was covered in stings “from head to toe,” as the insects attacked in large numbers. His father rushed to rescue him and immediately took him to the emergency room, where he was initially treated and sent home.

However, the situation quickly took a terrifying turn.

Less than 24 hours later, Beckham’s condition worsened dramatically. His skin began to turn yellow, and he was rushed back to the hospital—this time with doctors discovering that his organs were beginning to fail.

Medical teams confirmed that the massive amount of venom from the yellow jacket stings had overwhelmed his small body. The toddler, who was born with only one functioning kidney, was especially vulnerable to the toxic effects.
