Slow Cooker Barbecue Beef Ribs
Ingredients
For the Ribs:
- 4 pounds (1.8 kg) beef back ribs or short ribs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
For the Barbecue Sauce:
- 1 cup (240 ml) barbecue sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) beef broth or water
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke (optional, for added smokiness)
