1 pound ground beef
1 cup uncooked rice (white or brown)
1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
3 bell peppers (red, yellow, and green), chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Preheat oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook ground beef:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until onion is translucent.
Add ground beef to pan and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
