The “Spiritual Hour” Concept
Across different traditions and belief systems, the hours before sunrise have long been associated with spiritual activity. In some Eastern practices, this window is sometimes referred to as the “hour of the soul,” a time when the mind is calm and the veil between the conscious and subconscious feels thinner. In certain Christian traditions, 3 AM has been symbolically called the “witching hour,” though interpretations vary widely.
Spiritually inclined teachers often suggest that waking during this time may mean your intuition is becoming more active. With fewer distractions and less mental noise, people may find themselves more aware of their thoughts, emotions, or unresolved issues rising to the surface.
