🔍 Why Does Aluminum Foil Have Two Sides?
Here’s how it works:
- During production, aluminum foil is made by rolling large slabs of aluminum until they become thin sheets.
- In the final rolling step, two sheets are rolled together. This prevents them from breaking.
- The sides that touch the rollers become shiny, while the sides pressed together remain dull.
So, the two finishes are simply a result of how the foil is made — not a deliberate feature designed for different cooking purposes.
