Texas Trash Dip Recipe

Ingredients:
- 2 (16 oz) cans refried beans
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tablespoons homemade)
- 1 (4 oz) can diced green chiles (optional for a kick)
- 2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese, divided
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Tortilla chips, for serving
- Optional toppings: sliced green onions, diced tomatoes, black olives, jalapeños
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine refried beans, cream cheese, sour cream, taco seasoning, and green chiles. Mix until smooth and well blended.
- Stir in 1 cup of the Mexican cheese blend.
- Spread the mixture evenly into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Top with the remaining Mexican cheese and the cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
