What to do:
Lightly whisk the egg in a separate dish before combining it with the milk.
Mix the wet ingredients with the egg mixture until a batter is formed.
An inch or so of oil heated to 365 degrees Fahrenheit in a pan.
Pour the batter into the hot oil in your favorite shape and cook for two to three minutes on each side, or until it becomes golden brown.
Warm it up and bask in the compliments.
For more flavor, sprinkle in some fresh herbs, such as parsley or chives.
Crispiness may be preserved by reheating leftovers in the oven.
Instead of throwing away the spent oil, filter it and use it to enhance the taste of other meals.
