If you do not pay enough attention to this, problems such as unpleasant odors in the washing machine, smelly clothes or limescale on your clothes that dirty them can arise.
You can do this with citric acid or baking soda, but one of the methods that works best is vinegar!
Pour a cup of vinegar directly into the drum and run a long cycle with high heat.
So, for these 4 other uses, mix a glass of vinegar and a glass of hot water in a bowl:
For the washing machine drum
Dip a sponge in the mixture and scrub all areas of the drum, possibly with the help of a toothbrush.
For the washing machine door
Against stubborn stains, use a microfiber cloth or sponge soaked in the mixture.
Warnings
Be sure to unplug the power cord if you need to clean the washing machine.
