1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with a bit of olive oil or cooking spray.
Prepare the Potatoes:
