Pour the egg mixture back into the saucepan with the remaining hot milk mixture, stirring constantly.
Add vanilla (optional):
If you are using vanilla extract for extra flavor, mix it into the pudding mixture after removing from the heat.
Transfer the pudding mixture to individual serving bowls or a larger serving dish.
Leave it to cool at room temperature for a while before placing it in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours to set.
Once the pudding has cooled and set, garnish it with chopped nuts or a drizzle of caramel sauce for an extra touch of flavor.
