Directions
Prepare the Sauce:
In a bowl, whisk together the oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, cornstarch, brown sugar, and garlic chili sauce. Set aside.
Cook the Noodles:
In the same pan, add the refrigerated chow mein noodles and toss them in the prepared sauce over medium heat until the sauce thickens. Add the sautéed onions and peppers to the noodles and mix well.
Cook the Shrimp:
Cook the Steak:
Season the NY strip steak with cracked sea salt, fresh cracked pepper, garlic powder, and chili powder. Heat a cast iron skillet with a bit of oil over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for about 3 minutes on each side. Reduce the heat to medium, add the garlic herb butter, and use a spoon to baste the steak until it reaches your preferred doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. Remove from the pan and let it rest.
Assemble the Dish:
Slice the steak and place it on top of the noodles. Add the cooked shrimp. Halve the soft-boiled egg and place it on the side. Drizzle some melted butter over the top, seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and herbs.
