Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Slow Cooker
Step 2: Make the Cookie Dough
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Transfer the cookie dough into the prepared slow cooker. Spread it out evenly with a spatula.
Cover and cook on low for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until the edges are set and the center is still slightly soft.
Step 4: Serve
- Cooking Notes
Texture: The center should still be slightly soft when the cooking time is up, as it will continue to cook slightly while cooling.
Lining the Slow Cooker: Using parchment paper makes it easier to lift the cookie pie out of the slow cooker once it’s finished.
- Variations
Add 1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter to the dough for a peanut butter twist. You can also add peanut butter chips along with the chocolate chips.
