Cook the Pasta: Follow the package instructions to cook the penne pasta. Once done, drain and set aside.
Cook the Sun-Dried Tomatoes: Remove the chicken and in the same skillet, add the sun-dried tomatoes. Cook for 1-2 minutes to soften.
Create the Creamy Sauce: Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream. Stir to combine with the tomatoes and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
Combine Chicken and Pasta: Return the chicken to the skillet and mix well. Add the cooked penne pasta and stir until everything is well-coated in the sauce.
Final Touches: Let the pasta cook for an additional 2-3 minutes on low heat to blend the flavors. Remove from heat and, if desired, garnish with fresh basil leaves.
