Pan-seared Pork Chops:
b. Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder just prior to cooking.
c. In a skillet or pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. When hot, sear the pork chops until they’re golden and cooked thoroughly, roughly 4-5 minutes per side. Once done, transfer them to a plate and set aside.
e. Pour in the honey, water, and vinegar. Turn the heat up to medium-high and let the sauce simmer until it thickens a bit, which will take about 3-4 minutes. Remember to stir occasionally.
f. Return the pork chops to the skillet, and generously baste them with the sauce. Broil or grill them for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the edges get a slight char.
Baked Pork Chops Alternative:
b. In a hot, oven-proof skillet or pan over medium-high heat, sear the seasoned pork chops for 2 minutes on each side until they’re crispy.
d. Once the sauce is ready, baste the pork chops with it and bake them in the oven for roughly 10-15 minutes, depending on how well-done you want them.
e. For caramelized edges, broil or grill them for an additional 2 minutes.
