Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
1 cup warm water (about 110°F or 43°C)
2 tablespoons olive oil (plus extra for greasing)
Extra flour for dusting
Instructions:
1. Activate the Yeast:
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
3. Knead the Dough:
Turn dough onto a floured surface. Knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
4. Let the Dough Rise:
Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth or plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
