To make a crust that is golden and lustrous, combine one egg yolk with one teaspoon of milk (for the egg wash).

Getting the Apples Ready (two minutes):
Apples should be sautéed for four minutes:
Melt the butter in a saucepan that is set over a medium heat. While the sugar and sliced apples are simmering for two to three minutes, the apples should get somewhat softer.
Assemble and personalize (three minutes):
A dollop of the apple filling should be placed in the middle of each piece of dough.
The egg wash is made by combining the egg yolk and milk in a small dish and whisking them together. Apply this mixture to the edges of the pieces of pastry and brush them with it.
Once the dough squares have been folded into triangles or other shapes, use a fork to seal the edges of the triangles. Egg wash should be used to coat the tops, and then sliced almonds should be sprinkled on top.
Serve, and take pleasure in:
Allow the pastries to gently cool down before serving them. Powdered sugar may be sprinkled on top if desired.
