These everyday appliances can provide a breeding ground for bacteria, in addition to very quickly accumulating limescale and mineral deposits. To get rid of them, pour equal parts water and white vinegar into the kettle then boil the solution. Once done, rinse with clean water.
8. Cooking plates
Plug your sink and immerse your plates in hot water. Add a mixture of half a cup of baking soda and another half cup of white vinegar. The reaction of this mixture will help eliminate grease residue. Leave everything to soak for 30 minutes to 1 hour then scrub the plates using a scouring pad or steel wool.

To eliminate bad odors from your electrical appliances, start by unplugging the plug, then take a microfiber cloth that you soak in vinegar. You will just have to use the latter to wipe the bowl.
11. The pressure cooker sealing ring
Some containers have a sealing ring which, over time, can accumulate stains, mold and release bad odors. To get rid of it, fill your sink with water and white vinegar and soak the ring in it (ideally for 1 hour). Then wash it with dishwashing liquid before letting it dry.
If you don’t want to use the sink to treat your seal ring, pour the solution of white vinegar and water into your pressure cooker, adding lemon juice. Then run a steam cycle until the stains and dirt disappear.

The inside of a knife holder could be home to a lot of dirt. To clean it thoroughly, take a paper towel soaked in white vinegar and wrap it around a table knife. Insert it into the slots of your block to remove any residue.

Dishwashers are generally easy to clean, but they can suffer from a buildup of mineral deposits. To remove them, pour a cup of vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher under the rack then run an empty wash cycle. This process is very effective.
