INSTRUCTIONS:
- 1st Step – Prepare your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick cooking spray.
- 2nd Step – In a medium saucepan, combine the drained crushed pineapple, granulated sugar, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Pour the pineapple filling into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- 3rd Step – In a separate mixing bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, melted butter, ground cinnamon, and salt. Mix until well combined and crumbly.
- 4th Step – Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the pineapple filling in the baking dish.
- 5th Step – Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the pineapple filling is bubbly.
- 6th Step – Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Serve The Best Pineapple Bake warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream, if desired.
